Romagnoli`s in Iron Mountain

A delicious place to visit in Iron Mountain, we had a group of 8 and they were very accommodating and friendly, even when my 1 year old did what most 1 year olds do and got fussy before getting his food :) our waitress was very friendly and made sure to check on our table regularly.

We ate there last night for the first time in 17 years. We previously had not enjoyed our experience but last night's experience was very good. We were seated at a table as soon as we came in. Our waitress took our orders; steak and shrimp. About 15 minutes after ordering our salads arrived along with a good size loaf of warm bread. The salads were huge and the dressings were very good. The steaks and shrimp arrived about 15 minutes after the salad. The plates each included four large fried shrimp and our steaks exactly cooked as ordered. I didn't care for the breaking on the shrimp. It was loose and falling off the shrimp not crunchy at all. Overall it was a nice experience and we will return again soon.

Romagnoli's has some of the best Italian food I've had. The Ravs and gnocchi is great!

Best restaurant in Iron Mountain! My husband had The Famous Roman Holiday and I had a half order of the gnocchi with a meatball, which was a very nice size portion. For starters you get the salad and homemade loaf of bread. The salad is mounding with a delicious oil and vinegar dressing. It was like the salad had been marinating in the dressing for a bit, but it was still crunchy. Spend the extra $1.00 and get the Roquefort crumbles on top! Their meatballs are so tender! The meat ravioli, also, so light and tender. Red sauce is perfect. We loved this place!! Be sure to come hungry!!

You have to know the menu here, the broiled cod with butter is a great choice (po' man's lobster) the chicken is good here.

Excellent experience. My wife loved her lemon drop martini and both of our pasta dishes were delicious.

Honestly the only saving grace to this place was the food.... service was the worst ive ever had..... i could have made the food myself faster. If you have 2 hours to wait to be served.... the food is good, if not, stay away

Fabulous food and very friendly service! It is a beautiful space and our 3 and 9 year old LOVED the chicken and waffle combo! I LOVED the spaghetti! 9 year old adds, "tell them about the bread" - it was incredible !!! Highly recommend !!!!!!

An amazing quite Italian restaurant. Right in Iron Mountain we stopped by here and were for sure pleased, not just was the service good, it was kind. This nice family restaurant has amazing food aswell. I had a half-order of their signature Spaghetti and it was a delicious Italian surprise. The meatballs were home made and you could tell by the delicious insides. The Gnocchi and Ravioli was just as good, I tried some if each and was as equally pleased with these dishes. They serve a salad and some homemade bread with every dish. The service, as I've said, is kind and attentive. Our server periodically made sure we were fine and if we needed anything. The food was good, a nice calm atmosphere, great service; Everything about this restaurant was 10/10!

Good food, awesome bartender, the home 🍞 is so good

I rarely write reviews, but the poor experience here warrants one. First, my dad called the restaurant to see if we needed reservations, and were told no, there was no wait. We got there and had to wait at least twenty minutes for a table, even though there were plenty of empty tables. Once we ordered it took at least half an hour for our food to arrive and when it did my dish was lukewarm, mine and my husband's meatballs were almost cold. I was charged for a cup of sauce because I asked for alfredo instead of red sauce. The service was slow and the food was bland. We will never return to this establishment. As for the other reviewer blaming poor reviews on a dislike for the owner, we don't know who the owner is, and don't care. Bottom line, it was poor, inattentive service and over priced tasteless food. Don't waste your time.

Hostess forgot my reservation... also forgot the name it was under 4 times, then seated us at the wrong table with the wrong meals. We then had to go back out to the bar and wait another 30 minutes... coming from an Italian family food is just ok.. save yourself and family a headache and try a different restaurant

Some of the best Italian food I’ve had. Their garlic bread...well I love good Italian bread but nothing comes close to this. From the drinks at the bar through your entries it’s old school. Hard to find places like this any longer. First Class all the way. I’ll be in the area soon and my wife and I are already talking about making this a must stop for Dinner. See you soon.

Not only do they muddle their old fashions, but cater to your dietary needs. Their menu will satisfy anyone, and if there is something not on the menu (not sure how that's a thing) but can make something for you. Will be coming back 👌

Good food, good drinks, and great staff

We are seniors currently on a Cross country bus tour Seven of us chose to dine at Romagnoli's. My husband and I were hoping to share a meal as was another couple in our party. We were advised that wasn't possible. We ended up ordering our own meals and found with the salad, bread and pasta there was much more than any of us could eat. Being part of a bus tour we were unable to take the remaining food with us. The meal was delicious but a lot of food was wasted as was the extra money spent.

You cannot order food at the Bar. Bartenders are disgruntled and staff has too many jobs besides focusing on customers.Two Giant and growing International Hotels down the street with No place for a traveling guy to have a bite to eat and drink without feeling like an idiot after being seated among families when your alone. So sad😏 This restaurant loses lots of money by not allowing people eat at the bar.

Been going to this Italian restaurant for many years. Growing up, every friday i would go with my grandpa sit in the same spot and the bartender had our drinks ready before we even had to ask. Dwight (the owner) would always come sit and talk with us, always made us feel welcomed. I ended up moving down south for a couple years but i came back and immediately visited my old restaurant and the memories flowed and one of the waitresses recognized me and brought me into the back so i could say hello to Dwight😁 and to no surprise he remembered and we had a quick convo and it was a feel good moment! The food is always great and i love the italy feel and i just noticed the Soprano, Frank Sinatra, and godfather themed bathroom💯🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹 i love it! Only complaint would be that I'm a Michigan fan and even tho there's a Michigan flag there is also a Michigan St one hanging lol which is understandable given its Tom Izzo's hometown😅Either way i Highly recommend this place!

Amazing food, enjoyed the atmosphere and interesting family history. Staff was super.Can't remember the name of the dish I had but it was a broiled chicken dish in it's own little box on the menu with shrimp, Roma tomatoes and a parmesan white wine sauce... delicious! And get the garlic bread, there's enough for at least 4!

Large menu with plenty of options. The service was good and the staff was friendly. Had multiple waitresses stop by. I see other posts bashing this, but I actually found it to be refreshing and I was well taken care of. The food was great, even the side salad and side dish of gnocchi. I had steak and shrimp scampi as my entree and it was phenomenal. Everything with my visit was 5 star, even the house Chardonnay was great! Will definitely be back when I'm in the UP.

Back when I was younger, visiting Romagnoli's in iron mountain was always something to look forward too. Even though it's been a handful of years since our last visit, we still talk about the food, the restaurant, and the people to this day! Here's hoping I can come back soon!
